Today’s Greatitude

Today is Shrove Tuesday!

While we might know it as pancake Tuesday and the beginning of Lent in Christian community, it is also know as Mardi Gras! Mardi Gras means “Fat Tuesday” in French.

It was the last day to use fat and fatty foods before Lent, a time traditionally reserved for moderation and the avoidance of temptation.

Mardi Gras celebrations in the United States go back as early as 1703, when French soldiers held first festivities in what is now Mobile, Alabama.

Today’s greatitude is for a little history to savour while devouring pancakes…breakfast for dinner! YUMMY!

All a single idea needs is someone to believe it can work.  Our sponsors help us turn our ideas into magic.
