Two Random pieces with one connection:
- On this day in 1933 Albert Einstein arrived in the US as a refugee from Germany and had already won a Nobel Prize for his work in Physics in 1921.
- On this day in 1979 Mother Theresa won a Nobel Peace Prize for her humanitarian work. She was later canonized as Saint Theresa of Calcutta in 2016.
Two very different persons of tremendous influence in our history pages and yet what amazing light they brought to our society in their own unique and beautiful ways.
While we cannot all be winners of the Nobel, we can look for special ways to contribute to our community and the people who live in them. Giving of your time and energy is always a fantastic investment and the dividend to your own well being is an award that shares by the doing.
