Today’s Greatitude…a story.
Years ago, a Buddist monk walked into a classroom. As he entered the classroom, he didn’t say a word, instead went to the blackboard and wrote this: “Everyone wants to save the world, but no one wants to help mom wash the dishes.”
Everyone laughed.
He went on to say, “Statistically, it is unlikely that any of you will run into a burning orphanage and save an infant.”
“But in the smallest gesture of kindness, a warm smile, holding the door for the person behind you, shoveling the driveway of an elderly neighbour, you have committed an act of immeasurable kindness, because to each of us, our life is our universe.”
