Today’s Greatitude

Today is Limerick Day!

A limerick is a humorous poem consisting of five lines. These silly rhymes were made famous by an Englishman named Edward Leer, who wrote The Book of Nonsense in the 1800s.

While Leer brought these short poems into the spotlight, it is believed that they originated in the 1400s in the town of Limerick, Ireland.

What Limerick will you compose today?

Perhaps we will give it a go
To bring something daily to “yo”

To write all this stuff
Is more than just fluff
Greatitudes puts you in the know
